The Marketplace is currently in beta. Listing is free, and every application is reviewed by the 1club team before it goes live.
- The consumer marketplace at 1club.me, where the public finds and explores gyms.
- The admin side under Marketing > Marketplace, where you submit your gym to the network and manage its listing.
Overview
- Reach new members - a published gym is visible to everyone browsing 1club.me.
- Showcase your gym - photos, amenities, sports, description, and location appear on your public profile.
- Get discovered and booked - visitors find gyms through search and filters, then view your plans, classes, coaches, and appointments, and can get in touch or book.
- Stay in control - submit, withdraw, unpublish, or resubmit each gym independently; unpublishing takes effect immediately.
- Multi-gym orgs - each gym is listed and managed separately from the same page.
The consumer marketplace (1club.me)
Anyone can browse 1club.me without an account. Visitors:- Search and filter gyms by sport, location, and availability.
- Browse gym cards with the logo, name, location, and photos, and save favorites.
- Open a gym’s profile to see its description, photo gallery, amenities, sports, coaches, and the plans, classes, and appointments it offers.
- Get in touch or book - contact the gym or start a booking from the public profile.
Get your gym listed
You submit a gym to the network through a guided wizard, and the 1club team reviews it before it goes live.- Open Marketing > Marketplace and click Start now. If your organization has more than one gym, pick which one to list from the menu.
- The setup wizard opens in a new tab and walks you through the listing profile in these steps: club type, sports, location (address, photos, phone, and email), description, amenities, and a final Confirm & submit step. Everything already on file for the gym is prefilled.
- Confirm the final step to submit your application. This sends the gym for review and the 1club team is notified.
A brand-new sign-up that starts from 1club.me creates a free account and must verify its email before the wizard’s presets load. If you are already signed in to the admin dashboard, you go straight into the wizard for the gym you picked.
Profile requirements
A gym can only be submitted when its profile is complete. The required fields are:- Address
- Phone number
- Description (at least some written content)
- Location - a city plus a resolved map pin (latitude and longitude)
Listing statuses
Managing a listing
The Marketplace page lists each gym in your organization as a card with its current status. Which actions you see depend on where the gym is:- In review - Withdraw pulls the application back. This takes effect immediately, no review needed; the gym returns to unlisted and you can resubmit later.
- Published or Published (unlisted) - Unpublish takes the listing off the marketplace immediately, and View listing opens the public page on 1club.me.
- Not listed (unpublished or never listed) - Submit application opens the wizard to complete the profile and send it for review.
Viewing the Marketplace page needs marketing read access, but submitting, withdrawing, and unpublishing require the organization-management permission (
settings.manage.organization). Read-only staff see the listings and their status but not the action buttons.Worked example: listing a Pilates studio
A single-location reformer Pilates studio wants to appear on 1club.me:- The owner opens Marketing > Marketplace. Because there is only one gym, Start now launches the wizard directly.
- In the wizard, the club type is Pilates/Yoga and the sports include pilates and reformer. Location is confirmed with a map pin, and the owner adds interior photos and the studio phone and email.
- The description highlights small-group reformer classes and the amenities step lists showers, mat storage, and free parking.
- On Confirm & submit, the studio moves to In review. The owner sees the “In review” status on the Marketplace card, with a Withdraw option if plans change.
- Once the 1club team approves it, the card flips to Published, and View listing opens the studio’s public page at 1club.me, where prospective clients can browse classes and plans and book a trial.
Tips & best practices
- Finish the profile before you submit. Address, phone, email, a real description, and a located map pin are all required; the submit step blocks until they are present.
- Add photos even though they are optional. Listings with a gallery get far more attention than bare ones.
- Write the description for prospects, not staff. Say what makes the gym worth visiting, in plain language.
- List accurate amenities and sports. They power the marketplace filters visitors use to find you.
- Manage each gym separately. In a multi-gym organization, submit and publish gyms independently as each one’s profile becomes ready.
- Use unlisted for soft launches. A published-unlisted listing is reachable by direct link but stays out of search until you are ready to be found.
Troubleshooting
Issue: The Submit application step fails and says the profile is incomplete. Cause: One or more required fields (address, phone, email, description, or location) is missing. Fix: Complete the fields named in the message. The wizard walks through each one; the location step needs both a city and a resolved map pin. Issue: I do not see Start now, Submit, or Unpublish buttons. Cause: Your account has marketing read access but not the organization-management permission. Fix: Ask an owner or admin to grantsettings.manage.organization, or have them perform the listing action.
Issue: My gym was published but disappeared from the marketplace.
Cause: A profile edit may have left a required field empty. A listing that becomes incomplete is pulled from the public network automatically.
Fix: Reopen Marketing > Marketplace, complete the fields flagged on the gym’s card, and resubmit for review.
Issue: I unpublished a gym and now want it back.
Cause: Unpublishing is immediate and final for that listing; relisting goes back through review.
Fix: Click Submit application on the gym’s card to resubmit. It re-enters In review as a fresh application.
Issue: My organization has several gyms but only one submitted itself.
Cause: Each gym is listed independently.
Fix: On the Marketplace page, use Submit application on each additional gym’s card to send it through the wizard and review.
