The Google Business Profile integration pulls verified location data (name, address, phone, website) from your Google Business Profile into 1Club. You connect once, then import any of your verified locations as gyms. It is most useful when onboarding a multi-site operator who already manages their locations on Google and doesn’t want to retype every address. Google Business Profile is a paid-plan integration. Organizations on the Free plan or still in the Grow trial cannot connect it or run imports until they upgrade. Viewing and disconnecting stay available regardless of plan.

Overview

  • Verified data only - 1Club reads name, address, phone, and website from locations Google has verified. Unverified locations are not returned by Google’s API.
  • Multi-location import - Select several locations at once; each becomes a separate gym.
  • No duplicates - Locations you have already imported are tracked, so re-running the import doesn’t create duplicates.
  • One-way, on-demand - Data flows from Google into 1Club only, and only when you run an import.
  • Secure OAuth - Connects with Google OAuth 2.0; tokens are stored encrypted.

Before you start

  • A Google account that owns or manages your Google Business Profile.
  • At least one verified location on your Business Profile.
  • An upgraded plan (Grow trial and Free plans are blocked from connecting and importing).

Connect Google Business Profile

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations and open the Google Business Profile integration.
  2. Click Connect Google Business Profile.
  3. Sign in to Google and grant 1Club access to your Business Profile.
  4. You return to 1Club with the connection status shown as Active.

Import locations

After connecting, 1Club fetches your business accounts and lists the verified locations on the first account.
  1. The Import Multiple Locations card lists every verified location 1Club can see.
  2. Select the locations you want to import.
  3. Confirm. Each selected location becomes a gym in 1Club with its name, address, phone, and website pre-filled from Google. A success banner lists the gyms that were created.
You can re-run the import later to bring in newly added locations; locations you already imported are not duplicated. If no locations appear, the card shows: “No business locations found in your Google Business Profile. Make sure you have verified business locations set up.”

What syncs

This is a one-time, one-way import: Google into 1Club, on demand. Changes you make to a gym in 1Club after import do not flow back to Google, and updates you make on Google Business Profile do not automatically update the imported gym. Re-run the import only when you want to pull fresh data into 1Club.

Worked examples

Racket-sports franchise onboarding four clubs

A padel and tennis operator running four clubs already keeps every address, phone number, and site on Google. Instead of creating four gyms by hand, connect Google Business Profile, open Import Multiple Locations, tick all four verified locations, and import. Each becomes a gym with the correct address and contact details, ready for you to add areas (courts), operating hours, and pricing.

Single-studio owner reusing their Google listing

A boutique pilates studio owner has one verified Google listing with the polished business name, address, and website they want customers to see. Connect, import the single location, and the gym record inherits that exact data, so the marketplace listing and portal match Google from day one.

Tips and best practices

  • Verify your locations in business.google.com before importing. Unverified locations never appear in the list.
  • Import first, then configure. The import fills in identity and contact fields; you still add areas, hours, pricing, and branding per gym afterward.
  • Connect with the Google account that actually manages the Business Profile - a personal account that only has viewer access will return no locations.
  • Re-run the import after adding a new location on Google rather than creating that gym manually, to keep the source data consistent.

Troubleshooting

Disconnect

Click Deactivate on the integration page and confirm. This revokes 1Club’s access to your Business Profile and removes the stored connection data. Gyms you already imported stay in 1Club untouched.

  • Areas - configure bookable spaces inside each imported gym.
  • Marketplace - where imported gym details help power public listings.
