1Club has AI woven through the product. In the admin, staff get a chat copilot that can take real actions on their behalf: check members in, create bookings, change settings, draft messages, and answer questions about your data. On the member side, your portal and public website can carry an assistant that answers members’ questions and books classes for them. This page maps out every AI surface and what each one lets you do.

When it helps

  • Doing a task in one sentence - type “check in Sarah for the 6pm class” and the copilot routes it to the booking assistant, does it, and confirms exactly what happened.
  • Asking about your numbers - ask for peak hours, month-over-month comparisons, or revenue for a period in plain language.
  • Replying to the inbox faster - generate a reply grounded in the message and your organization’s data, check its tone and confidence score, and edit it before sending.
  • Letting members help themselves - turn on the member assistant for your portal or website, so members can ask about classes, availability, and plans, and create or cancel their own bookings.

The admin AI copilot

Open the AI panel from anywhere in the admin to chat with your copilot. Ask it something in plain language and it figures out what you want, then either answers or performs the action. Behind the panel is a set of specialized assistants, and a router reads your message and hands it to the right one automatically. You don’t have to think about which assistant handles what. Type “check in Sarah for the 6pm class” and it routes to booking; type “how do I set up pricing rules?” and it routes to help. When the copilot isn’t confident which assistant you need, it asks a quick clarifying question instead of guessing.

The agent picker

Next to the chat input is an agent picker. Leave it on the default and the router chooses for you. Or pick a specific assistant to keep the whole conversation focused on one job (for example, force every message to the configuration assistant while you set up your gym).

What each assistant does

Booking and check-in

Check members in for classes and activities, create and cancel bookings, look up member schedules, and create memberships. It searches members, lists classes and plans, and reads the schedule to complete the action.

Communication

Find a member by name, email, or phone, then draft a message to them. The draft is saved for you to review and send from the inbox - the assistant composes it, you send it.

Configuration

Change organization settings and create or edit entities - areas, area types, policies, templates, plans, and more. It can also draft gym events to engage members, translate entities, and toggle progression tracks.

Data and insights

Answer questions about your business data - bookings, memberships, check-ins, contacts, and revenue. Ask for trends, peak hours, month-over-month comparisons, or totals for a period.

Help and docs

Answer how-to and what-is questions grounded in the 1Club documentation and your live settings, and point you to the right page. This assistant is read-only - it never changes anything.

Website builder

Design and update your public website by chat - add pages and sections, populate them from your organization data, edit the header and footer, and adjust styling. See Website.

Actions and confirmations

When an assistant completes something with a real effect - a booking created, a setting changed, a message drafted - the reply confirms exactly what happened. Assistants also surface clickable suggestion chips below their answers, so you can jump to a relevant page or continue with a follow-up in one tap.

AI day summary on Home

The line under the greeting on Home is a one-sentence AI summary of the most relevant thing about today, such as the next class, how busy the day is, or an overdue invoice. It is scoped to the person reading it, so an instructor gets a summary of their own day, and it only mentions money and membership figures they are allowed to see.

AI reply suggestions in the inbox

Inside a message thread, the compose pane has a Generate AI reply action. It drafts a response grounded in the original message plus your organization’s data (retrieved with pgvector similarity search), and lands the suggestion in the editor for you to edit before sending. Each suggestion carries a tone and a confidence score so staff can review before anything goes out. The feature works on replies, not brand-new sends. See Messaging.

Page suggestions

On some screens the copilot offers page-aware suggestion chips - context-specific next actions for where you are in the admin. Suggestions are gated on the permission needed to act on them, so you’re never shown an action you can’t take. Screens with no suggestions simply show none.

AI business audit

1Club can generate an AI-powered audit of your gym’s online presence. The report scores your public business profile, review sentiment, website performance, and AI discoverability, then gives you recommendations to improve. A report is generated automatically after onboarding, and you can regenerate it from the admin. See Business audit.

Member-facing assistant

Your members can have their own AI assistant, available in the member portal and on your public website. It answers questions about classes, availability, instructors, plans, and gym locations, and it can act on the member’s behalf - creating and cancelling their bookings, and looking up their profile, bookings, and memberships. The member assistant is off by default and enabled per surface:
  • Portal - turn on the assistant for your member portal.
  • Website - turn on the assistant for your public website (the site must be active).
Member chat is rate-limited so a single account can’t fire off unlimited requests.

Configure agents and review history

Go to Settings > Artificial Intelligence to manage the AI experience:
  • AI assistants (MCP) connects outside AI clients to your organization. See MCP.
  • Agents (/settings/ai/agents) lists the available admin assistants with descriptions and example prompts, so your team knows what the copilot can do.
  • Conversation History (/settings/ai/conversations) lets you browse past AI chat sessions and read the full back-and-forth of each one.

Availability

AI features depend on your organization’s plan and configuration. The admin copilot and AI reply suggestions need AI enabled for your organization; the member-facing assistant is off until you turn it on for the portal or website; and the day summary on Home stays blank when AI can’t run. If an AI surface isn’t showing up, check your plan and the relevant settings first.
