When to use it
- A gym with personal trainers and physios keeps them as separate types, so each reports its own revenue and can be filtered on the schedule.
- A personal trainer who runs small groups gets a type with Max Concurrent Bookings set to 3, so three bookings can share one time slot.
- A tennis academy sets its Tennis Coach type to take A group of up to four people per session.
Where to find it
Go to Settings > Clubs > Instructor Types. The list shows each type’s name and description.- Click Add Instructor Type to create one.
- Click a row, or use its Edit action, to change it.
- Use Delete to remove it. Deleting cannot be undone.
Instructor type fields
- Name - What staff and members see. Required.
- Slug - Lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only. Required.
- Description - Optional.
- Max Concurrent Bookings - How many bookings an instructor of this type can hold in the same time slot, for example 3 for a personal trainer with small groups. Defaults to 1.
- Revenue Account - The revenue account bookings with instructors of this type book their income to. None (use default) uses your organization’s default revenue account.
- People per session - Just the booker, or A group up to a Max people number you set.
Permissions
Instructor types live in Settings, so you need Settings access to open the page. Creating, editing, and deleting them is also checked against the Operations module at club scope. See Roles and permissions.Related
- Instructors - Assign a type to each instructor.
- Booking and cancellation policies - Policies can be scoped to an instructor type.
- Schedule calendar - Hide whole instructor types from the schedule by default under Schedule Display.
