# Staff

> The Staff section: your team's admin logins, instructors, pay rate policies, time off, and the shift roster.

The **Staff** section in the left rail is where you manage the people who work at your gym: who can sign into the admin, who teaches and can be booked, how coaches are paid, and when they're available. Owners, admins, and managers use it; it needs the **staff.read.organization** permission.

## What's in the section

| Tab | What it's for |
| - | - |
| [Team](#team) | Admin logins for non-teaching staff: admins, managers, and front desk. |
| [Instructors](/staff/instructors) | Coaches and class leads, their bookable rates, sports, and operating hours. |
| [Pay rates](/staff/pay-rates) | Pay rate policies that decide what coaches earn for sessions and classes. |
| [Time off](/staff/roster#time-off) | Instructor absences, with the bookings and classes they clash with. |
| [Roster](/staff/roster) | Shifts, weekly rotations, and the scheduled shifts that set instructor availability. |

Opening **Staff** lands on **Team**.

## Team

**Team** lists everyone with an admin login who isn't an instructor - people with the **Admin**, **Manager**, or **Front desk** role. Instructors are listed under [Instructors](/staff/instructors) instead. For the full list of admin users, including instructors, use **Settings** > **Organization** > **Users** (see [Users](/settings/admin-users)).

The columns are **Contact** (name, email, and avatar), **Phone**, **Role** (with an **Owner** chip for the account owner), **Status**, **Sign-in methods**, and **Joined**.

### Add a staff member

Click **Add staff member** to open the user dialog. Pick an existing contact or add a new one, choose a **Role**, and save to create the user and send the invitation. The roles you can assign depend on your own: admins and owners can assign any of the three, while managers can assign up to **Manager**. The dialog is the same one used under **Settings** > **Organization** > **Users**; see [Users](/settings/admin-users) for every field and what each role can do.

### Manage a staff member

Click a row, or use its actions menu:

* **Edit** - change the role and the other details in the user dialog.
* **Delete** - remove the user's access, or delete a pending invitation.
* **Send Invitation** or **Resend** - for someone who hasn't accepted yet.
* **Reset password** - for an active user.

You can't edit or remove yourself here, and you can only act on people whose role you're allowed to manage. Managers, for example, can't change an admin.
